The more I live, the more I am convinced that the problem of this world is not climate change, it is not hunger, it is neither unemployment or corruption. It is not the big grammar or vocabulary. It is not in the meeting and elections of this world. There is one single problem that the world have, do you know it’s name? The name is YOU. Yes, YOU.
One day, a pastor was preparing a sermon for Sunday, his little son was very naughty and troublesome. The boy did not allow Daddy concentrate, he was all over the study room, all effort to curb the little boy excesses proved abortive. The pastor saw a newspaper close by with the map of the world on it, he thought this could help engage the little boy, he tore the newspaper into piece and told the little boy to fix the puzzle. The boy was to arrange the world map. In 5 minutes the boy had fixed the puzzle, the pastor was amazed at the genius of the boy. He asked the little boy how he fixed the world map in 5 minutes, the boy explained that there is a man picture at the back of the paper, that if you fix the man, then you have fixed the world. This event made the Pastor change his sermon title to Change the man, Change the world.
Many a time we are fast to point fingers, we are fast to analyse the bad in everyone except us, we are fast at approaching problems from ‘their” stand point not from ‘I’ stand point. A lot of us are fast food motivational speakers. We refuse to accept that we need help. Mind you this piece does not exclude me.
Finally, Are you not the one who just threw waste out of your car? Are you not the one who just inflated price of product sold without any cause? Are you not the one who just paid bribe to get a licence? Are you not the one who have victimize that junior officer because he is standing for right value? Are you not the one who refused to help that lady without having sex with her? Are you not the one who just shunt the queue? Are you not the one who is the world’s problem?
Fix you and the world will be fixed…
